I love baking for my husbands lunches. I love the fact that he takes them to work and looks forward to his breaks. What I love a little bit more is that all his buddies at work envy him and his scrumptious meals. I love spoiling Sammy. He deserves it, works so hard for Sofia Marie and I. The least I could do is bake him cakes, send him with sweet lunch box notes and send him with a wee bit of chocolate each day.
Does anyone else love baking as much as I do?
CAKE | Ingredients
1 cup White Sugar
1/2 cup Butter
2 tsp Vanilla Extract
1 1/2 cups Flour
1 3/4 tsp Baking Powder
1/2 cup Milk
CAKE | Method
Preheat oven to 350 degrees F.
In your electric mixer, cream together the Sugar and Butter.
Next, beat in the Eggs, one at a time, then stir in the Vanilla.
Combine Flour and Baking Powder, and add to the creamed butter, mix well.
Last, stir in the Milk until batter is smooth.
Bake for 35 minutes in the preheated oven.
ICING | Ingredients
1 cup Icing Sugar
1/2 tsp Vanilla
ICING | Method
In a small bowl mix together Icing Sugar with Vanilla.
Add in Water 1 tsp at a time until a thick, yet smooth icing forms.
Drizzle over a cooled Cake, and sprinkle with candies.
