Welcome...

I shop all too often considering I despise mail from Mastercard. I sip from fine china that is far older than the Queen. I daydream of a closet filled with Chanel. AND... If that all wasn't enough for the mind, I am a brand new mother of a baby girl, who at 4 months preferred gazing at my Wedding Ring than her plush toys.

Look for Less: Beyonce

Everything you own in the box to the left, in the closet that’s my stuff, yes – If I bought it please don’t touch. Beyonce is like every other woman, when it comes to her clothing. What’s mine is mine and what I crush on will eventually be mine. Beyonce oozes style, this you cannot deny. She is beautifully confident in everything she does and wears. If there is anything that we can take from the Queen of Pop, it is to always strut with grace, confidence and pride.

Dress Rail | Ponte Smart Tailored Blazer | $39.00

The Blazer in my eyes is one of those pieces, similar to a leather jacket, which finishes many already existing outfits you don’t know you have. It’s as simple as throwing on a pair of skinnies, your favorite over worn t-shirt and sealing it all with structured blazer. If you ask me, that’s easier than pie and hotter than wasabi! If you don’t already have one, you’re holding out on your wardrobe, and that’s just cruel.

Joe Fresh | Slim Jeans | $39.00

A Jean, is a Jean, is a Jean. Or is it? A good pair of Jeans should fit you like your bestfriend. Complimenting every asset, coming to your rescue when in need, and always turning a bad day into a “damn I look good” day. Like friends, a good Jean is hard to find. So when you do locate the perfect pair, don’t ask yourself “do I have too many” or “do I really need these” because what you should be really asking yourself is  “how am I so lucky to have found you”

Old Navy | Rib-Knit Trim Camp Shirt | $26.00

Not everyone can find the perfect fit when it comes to a button down top. Buttons and Busts can be one another’s worst nightmare. If you’re curvy and having troubles finding a structured top like this to add to your wardrobe, may I suggest staying away from 100% Cotton and search for something with Stretch. When you find it ladies, It will hug you like a lover, and give you space like your ex. It’s really the perfect love affair.

Affordable Scarves | Teresa Leopard Scarf | $14.41

You can never have enough scarves. END. OF. STORY.
No really, not only are they worn around your neck, but as a belt, in your hair or as an accessory on your purse. So the next time you see a scarf that is calling your name. Don’t turn the other way, and pretend not to make eye contact. Take the price, divide it by 4 and tell yourself it’s worth it considering the 4 accessories it can act as.

Since we are chatting scarves... see my scarf obsession coming out here and here

Zara | Retro Ankle Boot | $29.99

These boots are made for walkin’ – and that’s just what they’ll do – one of these days these boots are going to walk…. Right into my closet. I can dream can’t I? Boots are a fabulous investment for 2 simple reasons. One, they can be worn with almost anything in your closet, pants, skirts, or shorts – an all year round shoe. Two, they keep you warm while also keeping you fashionable.  Do you really need me to convince you anymore?

What I Wore - Celebrity Style

I am all about feeling like a celebrity without spending like one...
This is why I came up with this look. Why spend thousands when you can get a similar look for fractions of the cost. Right? I created this look for a local Shopping Center who was featuring Mama Bloggers. We all got to share our niche when it came to Blogging... and mine of course was Fashion.

What do you think? Did I nail the look?

Trend: Peplum

Trend: Peplum

The Peplum trend is one I will adopt with grace. Absolutely perfect for so many body shapes, the Peplum trend will give you hips if you so desire, also smooth out and hiding those who have enough. A classy trend that had my heart at hello. Will you be fashioning the Peplum trend? If so, how...a Dress, Jacket, Shirt... Do tell!

Look for Less: Nikki Hilton

Nikki Hilton, unlike her sister, makes very good decisions. Fashion; usually keeping it quite classy and beautiful, Mama Hilton can be happy she did not completely fail. When it comes to this “animal instinct” outfit Nikki is wearing, she is doing everything right.  From a Leather Jacket to an Animal Print Bag to a Colored Jean topping it off with a Bow on her Heels. Can we ask for anything more from Nikki? Maybe a few nights stay at her Hotel in New York this Summer?

Forever21 | Colored Skinny Jeans | $27.80

This year colored pants are all the rage. Jeans, Cords, Leggings and Jeggings, as long as they are colorful they are acceptable it seems.  Make sure when you are choosing a vibrant pant this year that you still stay true to what style suits your body and a color that enhances your skin tone.

Dynamite | Faux Leather Blazer | $42.90

Leather cannot only take an outfit from boring to chic, but it can complete many ensembles that I bet are sitting in your closet right now, waiting to be strut. A good finishing piece, like a Leather Jacket, can really pull together your wardrobe. So if you are toying with the idea of buying another pair of jeans, put it at the waist-side and invest in a leather jacket.

Leopard seems to be the go to Animal Print of the season. Not only can it be a successful pairing with a casual outfit but can also liven up your Little Black Dress that you have been dying to get into again. Are you new to the Leopard Rage? If so, introducing the racy print in an accessory as in a purse, belt, or shoe is a safe and comfortable route to start. Until of course you get enough compliments that encourage you to take the plunge on a fiery Leopard Silk Cami. Have fun this Season, walk on the Wild side.  Add a little animal in your life.

“You got designer shades, just to hide your face, you wear them around like you’re cooler than me” best said by Mike Posner. Outsized Sunglasses can take you from the everyday “girl next door” to a “celebrity in training”. I find even myself when I see the right pair of shades on a girl, I double take wondering if she is someone I should recognize. Pair them with an unwieldy beautiful hat, and you’re bound to get stopped for an autograph.

Old Navy | Pleated Shoulder Top | $15.00

It doesn’t get more basic than a Black, Long Sleeved, Round Neck T-Shirt. Don’t go thinking this is plain and blah, because it is far from that. It’s a perfect laying piece that you will use weekly.  So when you are looking for a basic, think quality, because you will use it time and time again.

Since we are raving about layering so much... see how I have used layering here, both for fashion and for the chilly Vancouver weather.

Charlotte Russe | Bow Front Patent Heel | $28.00

Adding a detail to your shoes, like a charmingly sweet bow, can really stand you out in a crowd. If you are unsure about investing in a Shoe that has a specific detail like this Charlotte Russe Bow Patent Heel, then may I suggest purchasing or making a Shoe Accessory that can be added to your existing Shoes? You’re only as interesting as your Shoes, I’d say.

Speaking of fabulous shoes...see my DIY Shoe Accessories here, and here.

What I Wore - Coral Candy

The first day of Spring come and gone. Hard to believe it's actually here, especially when the rain and snow continues to show face. When I took these shots yesterday the sun had yet to show up, but I was happy at least without its two energies around.

I really do love Coral... almost as much as Candy! When I saw this shirt at Old Navy I knew I just had to have it. Then, when it's price tag had a red sale sticker telling me $8.00 - I wished it came in more lovely hues. WIN WIN for all I'd say.

PS: Found these gorgeous Peacock Feathers at the Craft Store and couldn't leave them behind... As I was getting ready for this shoot I thought a Feather Hair Extension was exactly what I was missing... So five minutes later this is what I designed. Love it?

Trend: Tangerine

Trend: Tangerine

Tangerine is the new black. Who says so... the runway says so! Making its way into prints, patterns and singing solo, this color trend is going to stick around for all of 2012. Tangerine is not only yummy in clothing but as you see its make it way into Michael Kors heart. Will you be bold in Tangerine this year? How will you being doing this color trend?
