Welcome...

I shop all too often considering I despise mail from Mastercard. I sip from fine china that is far older than the Queen. I daydream of a closet filled with Chanel. AND... If that all wasn't enough for the mind, I am a brand new mother of a baby girl, who at 4 months preferred gazing at my Wedding Ring than her plush toys.

Spot the Steal

Spot the Steal - Blush Purse

I have a crush on bows and even more of an obsession on this perfect hue of pink. This one I actually prefer the STEAL... go figure. One of these beautiful babies rings in at $1,020 while the other is a whopping $80. Tell me, did I stump you on this edition of Spot the Steal? If we are talkin' just you and me.... let's be honest, any purse with this large of a bow is really just a win win for everyone.  Wouldn't you agree?

DIY Peplum Top

I have had this urging desire to make a Peplum Top after seeing the gorgeous ...love maegan made her's. I have been on the hunt for the perfect tops. Yesterday was "that" day, I found 2 tops that would work perfectly, and at $4 each I couldn't say no. Thanks to Old Navy's random but wicked sales, this Peplum Top cost me all of $8. Well that, and my time! But who cares, I got all the time in the world. I'm a stay at home mama!

You'll need 2 tops that are the same. One in your size and the second a lot bigger, The bigger the more pleats and the more volume you'll have to your Peplum.

Take your larger sized Tee and cut it where you want for length on your Peplum. Once cut, you will now separate at each seam so that you will end up with two equal pieces.

Once you have them laid out you will layer 4 layers of Tulle. Since my Tee's were mostly Cotton their was not much structure to them and I wanted some "pep" in my Peplum. So adding the tulle will give your pieces some volume.

Fold both sides, pin and sew.

Next sew the top over, pin and sew

Next make your pleats of "scrunches", pin and sew.

Pin evenly to the sides of your shirt, and stitch. I chose to hand sew this part as by this point the materials were quite thick and I was afraid to "jam" my mama's machine.

Chanel... I'm sorry!

Distressed..... Previously Owned.... Vintage....

You think?!?!
My goodness whom ever owned this purse treated it worst than Chris Brown did Rhianna, Mel Gibson did Oksana, Tiger Woods did Elin. Treating a piece of Chanel like this should be a crime. My only thought is that the person that owned this bag had far more money  than knew what to do with and thought "I'll use it as designer waste basket, then when I'm done with it, I'll sell it online to someone who is dying to get their hands on a piece of Chanel - in any shape".

Don't get me wrong, I have toyed with the idea to bid on this "hot mess", probably my only change at a piece of Chanel to ever grace my shoulders.... I could take it to a cleaners and then do some sort of DIY on it to try and make it look like it's beautiful self again.

Oh - how my heart aches at the sight. It helps none seeing that the sellers name is Russel. Who let's a Chanel Bag get this way? Who? A man... that's who! Shame on you Russel, shame on you!

Baby Name Change?!

Thinking we should have chosen a name a little more suiting for our baby girl, like perhaps Heartbreaker? What do you think? Worth the cost of a name change with the government? I wonder what they would say if we came to them with this outrageous request?

Went for a walk at the park yesterday and I saw this little grassied area that was asking to be photographed... that and a baby who loves having her picture taken. Seriously this kid is a natural born photo-bomber. She loves to be in pictures and then later look at them on the computer. I've created a monster I know... I'm lucky if she only ends up monstrous, could be worst - love the attention so much she could end up a Kardashian.

Happy Saturday Lovelies...
What are you doing today? May I suggest using your children as photo props?

DIY Chainship Bracelet

Will this be the new TREND... a Chainship Bracelet? If your bestie gives you an chainship you know she's got your back, especially when it comes to "red tag" sales. As a kid I used to make friendship bracelets all the time. Would tie a loop around my toe so I know, as hard as I tug on the strings, they won't be going anywhere. I'd make so many Bracelets I wouldn't know what one to wear first. Fear no more! #ArmParties are all the rage now... Where them all at once I say!

So...Tell me! Will you be making a Chainship?

INSTORE Deals & Steals

This weeks Fabulous Finds come thanks to H&M, Old Navy, The Gap, Suzy Shier and Dynamite {some of my favorite Coquitlam Center Stores}.
