Vancouver Fashion Week - WWIW

WWIW: What will I wear?

Vancouver Fashion Week is fast approaching and you know what that means? A frantic dash to find the perfect Fall Ensembles to take you from the red carpet to the runway shows. I have yet to experience Vancouver's Fashion Week until this year. I was contacted by VFW, requesting to join them this year, the amazing parties, runway shows and gala's all happening next month. You better believe I said yes, and quite possibly faster than I did to Sammy's Romantic Proposal. Now the only decisions that are left to be made, are what to wear!

This weeks option is anchored down with a neutral colored, bold printed Dress. Accented with golden accessories and a bag that won't go unnoticed. What do you think? Is this ensemble Red Carpet worthy, taking me to being Runway ready?  

Anyone else walking a 'Fashion Week' Red Carpet? I wanna know about it.

Spot the Steal: Biker Boots

         

With Fall Fashion finally showing it's face on news stands now, we see that the Biker Boots have made the cut and will be gracing many fabulous feet for the chilly seasons ahead of us. I, myself, love a good biker boot and will no doubt be eyeing the perfect ones for me. This week on Spot the Steal we have narrowed in on this badass trend, and are seeing if you have what it takes to snag the deal? My Once Upon a Time....

How we met:
Online {end of story}

No, but really. We met online, conversed via e-mail for about 2 weeks before we stepped up our game to the telephone for another few weeks.... then came D-Day. We agreed to meet downtown Vancouver, on Robson and Thurlow, where there stands a Starbucks on each corner {strange concept, but very convenient to borrow sugar, if needed}. I parked my car in a nearing back alley and walked out for the big FIRST LOOK... he drove up... rolled his window down and told me to "hop in". I know what you're thinking, perfect scenario for a horror film, right? But something about this guy was just so right!

Vogue's September Issue...

Once the 'September Issue' hits the news stands, you can find me breathing in and out of a brown paper bag. A overage of excitement flows through me and I get a feeling of being 'out of loop' until I get my hands on a copy. 6am just doesn't seem to be earlier enough for stores to open so that I can get my hands on Vogue's anticipated Issue. This year Lady Gaga graces the cover and with opinions being split 50/50, you can find me on the 'absolutely in love with' side of the spectrum. She is gorgeous in every sense of the word. Great choice Vogue.... Brilliant choice!

Blackened Chicken, Cilantro Quinoa with Avocado Cream Sauce

This entire meal was absolutely amazing, I can't even begin to tell you.... but of course I'll try. 
The Blackened Chicken had just the perfect amount of heat, giving the Avocado Cream Sauce time to cool you down. The Cilantro Quinoa was the perfect part savory and citric that It almost put me into a trance.... just divine! I ate enough to satify, but let me tell you I could have ate the entire amount made for Sammy and I. Oh man! Dangerous! Luckly its quite healthy considering all the ingredients. I love a good healthy meal that leaves you full but not stuffed. The Blackened Chicken with Avocado Cream Sauce served with Cilantro Quinoa is just that. A match made in Foodie Heaven

DIY Designer Serving Tray

I find that a Serving Tray takes any gathering from casual to casual chic. A huge step up in my books, I am all about service and presentation when I host a party. Having been a Wedding Planner for 8 years I know the small details are what everyone remembers and always set the tone for the night.

Good Morning Oat Pancakes

You know what I love about mornings, their are 2 things. The first is the face of my baby girl when she first wakes. So sleepy but full of smiles and energy. Second is Breakfast. I love food and well, lets be honest, food loves me a little too much. This is why I strive to find healthy meal options, for the knowing and understanding, that I will over indulge. Fashion for any Night

                        

It's funny how I recall a cherished moment by the outfit I wore. I will always remember an important date or gathering with friends and family by that of which I have fashionable strut in. This weeks Spot the Steal has me torn once again. You see... I love the Peplum trend an even more-so, love the shade of sherbet mint. On the contrary, the sweet shade of a soft coral and sweetheart neckline has my heart doing things only my husband has.  The cut out trend has been so mainstream lately that you can bet your 'apple bottom' butt that your nana will be sporting it soon enough.
